Pilgrimage and offering to Nuestra Señora del Pilar

The Romería begins on 11 October 2026 at 18:00 on Calle Pavía in the Guanarteme district of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The procession will pass through Simancas, Covadonga, Secretario Padilla, El Salvador, Vergara and Lepanto on its way to the Plaza del Pilar.

Various folk groups and associations will be taking part. A Mass is scheduled for 19:00 in the parish church. The programme states that the image of the Virgin will be carried out and the offering received at 20:00 in the Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Pilar. A performance by the Parranda La Polvajera is also scheduled for this time.

The event is one of the key dates in the Fiestas de la Virgen del Pilar 2026, which will be celebrated from 30 September to 12 October. The offering of flowers to the Virgen del Pilar at the church door will take place on 11 and 12 October.
