In the play, Poncia speaks after Adela's suicide. The action therefore does not begin during the familiar plot, but afterwards. From her appearances in Lorca's original work, a new text emerges in which she speaks to herself, to Bernarda Alba and to her daughters. This opens up a different perspective on the house and its inhabitants.
The production takes Poncia's thoughts further, transforming them into reflections, monologues and dialogues with ghosts and shadows. In doing so, the character explores themes such as suicide, freedom, guilt, social class, upbringing and sexuality. At the same time, her closeness to Adela becomes apparent; she defends Adela as a courageous young woman and regards her death as her own fault.
The performance is presented by Pentación Espectáculos, starring Lolita Flores. It begins at 20:00 at the Teatro Auditorio Agüimes and ends at 21:00. The recommended age rating is 14 and over.
