The story begins with an unexpected offer to Carmen Morales: she is asked to star in a musical that traces the life and famous songs of her mother, Rocío Dúrcal. Twenty years after her mother's death, she does not wish to reopen certain issues and initially declines, as she considers her mother to be unique and unforgettable.
After her refusal, however, the writer and director asks her to come to the theatre and read through the libretto with him. In doing so, she is given the freedom to cut, alter and add to the text. The result is an evening that weaves together light-hearted and moving moments from the lives of her mother and father, from her own life and from the history of Spain.
Over the course of the 90-minute performance, the question ultimately arises as to whether Carmen will agree to the premiere. The cast features Carmen Morales and Alejandro Vera. The performance at the Teatro Víctor Jara in Vecindario is suitable for all age groups. No admission will be permitted once the performance has begun. Tickets cost between 24 and 28 euros.
