"La Coreana" tells the story of Elena, whose car was found at the foot of a cliff and who has been missing ever since. Seven years later, her husband Sergio, a former philosophy teacher, turns up at Manuel's traditional shoe shop wearing red high heels. What begins as an absurd attempt to exchange the shoes turns into an obsessive quest, in which Sergio, with Manuel's help, tries to piece together Elena's final days.
The staged reading is part of the Laboratory for Staged Writing run by the Canarias Escribe Teatro initiative. It is directed by Jon Arráez and Marta Fuentes. Both will read the text alongside Miguel Ángel Marcial.
The performance is suitable for audiences aged twelve and over and lasts approximately one hour. It begins on Saturday, 24 October 2026, at 19:00 at the Teatro Guiniguada in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Admission is free.
