Traditional evening with Pepito el Tocador in Telde
The 'Pepito el Tocador' Noche de Tradiciones is a Baile de Taifas held as part of the Pilar festivities in the Valle de los Nueve in Telde, featuring music by Yemayá, Achimencey and Los Mauricios. A Baile de Taifas is a traditional festival from the Canary Islands featuring folk music, dancing and, often, traditional dress. Tables must be booked in advance and cost ten euros per table; guests are also encouraged to wear traditional Canary Islands dress.
The evening forms part of the programme of festivities in honour of Nuestra Señora del Pilar in the Valle de los Nueve Alto neighbourhood of Telde. The 'Pepito el Tocador' Night of Traditions is organised as a Baile de Taifas and begins on Saturday, 3 October 2026, at 21:00.
The participating groups are Yemayá, Achimencey and Los Mauricios. Tables must be booked in advance for the evening. The price is ten euros per table. Guests are also asked to attend in traditional Canary Islands dress.
The event is organised by the Patronato de Fiestas Los Naranjos. The Noche de Tradiciones marks the first evening of the Pilar festivities in the Valle de los Nueve.
