WOMEX stands for Worldwide Music Expo and combines an international music gathering with a conference for the global music scene. This Saturday in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria marks the final night of three showcase evenings. According to the source, delegates from more than 90 countries are coming to the city for the event.
The concerts begin at 21:00 and will take place across five stages at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus. Artists from Cuba, Canada, Burkina Faso, Greece, Pakistan, Sweden, Colombia and Bulgaria are scheduled to perform. The ticket also includes access to the Club Summit.
Doors open at 20:30. Children and young people up to and including the age of 16 will only be admitted if accompanied by an adult or guardian. Those aged between 16 and 18 require permission from a parent or guardian. The price for an evening ticket is 30 euros; a three-night pass costs 85 euros plus fees.
In addition to the showcase concerts in the Auditorio, the organiser also highlights the open-air Plaza Stage on Playa de Las Canteras. This area is free to access, subject to availability.
