WOMEX Festival 2026: Thursday features international showcases
This evening, the WOMEX Festival is bringing showcase concerts from France, Morocco, Iran, Brazil, Spain and Mali to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The first festival night open to the public is aimed at fans of world music and the latest international sounds. The event starts at 21:00, with doors opening at 20:30. Tickets cost 25 euros; a three-night pass costs 85 euros plus booking fees.

WOMEX is recognised as an international trade fair and festival for world music and will return to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from 21 to 25 October 2026, following its guest appearance in 2018. A total of 53 showcases are planned across five stages around the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus and the Plaza de la Música.
Thursday 22 October marks the first night open to the general public. From 21:00, the programme features showcase concerts with performances from France, Morocco, Iran, Brazil, Spain and Mali. Doors open at 20:30.
Admission for this evening costs 25 euros. A three-night pass is available for 85 euros, plus booking fees. In addition, there will be nine free concerts every evening at the open-air Plaza Stage next to Las Canteras, subject to availability.
