The piece was created in collaboration with the stage artist Jorge Becker, whose cognitive, physical and visual abilities have been severely impaired by the effects of a virus. Drawing on his experience, “Cerebro” explores themes of vulnerability, perception and the complexity of the brain through a stage production.
The production combines performance art and drama, approaching Jorge's reality as an act of resistance and a collaborative creation between artist and audience. The production is presented by Teatro Niño Proletario, a Chilean centre for artistic research and creation with 21 years' experience.
The show will take place at the Teatro Circo de Marte in Santa Cruz de La Palma. The performance runs from 20:30 to 22:00. Tickets cost 12 euros and are available online and at the theatre box office.
