The concert at the Casa de La Cultura de Los Llanos de Aridane is one of the first stops on Julia Debis's debut tour, 'La Memoria'. On La Palma, the singer-songwriter is stopping off for a special live evening, featuring Dani Kleyklein. The following day, she will be performing in La Laguna on Tenerife.
For the artist, these two concerts also connect her to places from her own history. Julia Debis was born in Tenerife and grew up in Tazacorte on La Palma, to which she still has a close connection, according to the announcement. It was there that her journey into music began.
'La Memoria' is her first EP and comprises six songs: 'Las naranjas', 'Dinosaurios', 'Lo mismo no es igual', 'No se toca ese botón', 'Tan especial' and 'Bola de cristal'. Julia Debis describes her music as pop with elements of rock, with a focus on ballads.
The musician wrote her first songs at the age of twelve and taught herself the basics of piano and guitar. She took to the stage with her guitar and her own lyrics from an early age. Later, at the age of 18, she moved to Madrid to study musicology and pursue her musical career professionally.
