The exhibition is a collaborative project between the Artistic Jewellery and Fashion Design courses at the Manolo Blahnik School of Art. It takes as its starting point the works and spaces of the Museo Insular de La Palma, which are reimagined in new designs.
Paintings and sculptures are transformed into pieces of jewellery in which colour, form, texture and ideas take on a new dimension. At the same time, the same references in the works inspired by clothing and fashion step beyond the confines of the picture frame and become fabric, volume, silhouette and the body.
EN-CUADROS offers a fresh perspective on the museum's collections and architecture. Some of its striking elements are reinterpreted through a collection of sculptural works. This creates a dialogue between cultural heritage and contemporary design, in which observations serve as the starting point for new creations.
