Mass and ceremony to mark Pilar Day in Fuencaliente

The celebrations will begin on Monday, 12 October 2026, at 11:30 at the Iglesia de San Antonio Abad on Plaza San Antonio in Los Canarios, the main town of Fuencaliente de La Palma in the south of the island.
The programme includes a Mass followed by a ceremony. The occasion is the Feast of the Virgen del Pilar, which in Spain is associated with the patron saint of the Guardia Civil. 12 October is also Spain's National Day.
