At the festivities in honour of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores in Lodero, Ramón Araujo will give the opening address, followed by a children's parade featuring Cabezudos. The event is particularly suitable for families and combines the official opening with a street parade. The parade will be accompanied by the Banda de Música del Aula Municipal de Villa de Mazo.
The ceremonial address forms part of the programme for the 2026 Fiestas in honour of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores in Lodero, in the municipality of Villa de Mazo on La Palma. It will begin on Friday, 2 October 2026, at 19:45. The speaker will be Ramón Araujo, a Spanish writer, poet, musician and humorist.
This will be followed at 20:00 by a children's parade featuring Cabezudos. The parade will be accompanied by the Banda de Música del Aula Municipal de Villa de Mazo. The evening thus combines a festive opening with a family-friendly event in the village.
