He has also worked at the University of Oxford and the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg, and has published more than 25 books as a science communicator.
His talk, 'El cerebro de un niño: entenderlos para ayudarlos', explores the development of the child's brain from the perspective of neuroeducation. He explains why many behaviours are linked to a brain that is still developing, and how emotions, attachment, play and the environment influence learning.
The event is aimed at families. It will take place at the Teatro Chico in Santa Cruz de La Palma. Tickets cost 20 euros and are available online and at the box office.
