Lanzarote with the Family: Talks with Paola Roig and María Fornet

To round off Lanzarote en Familia 2026, the programme at the Salón de Actos del Cabildo Insular in Arrecife features two talks that explore the interplay between parenting and the realities of women's lives. The event begins at 17:00 and lasts 180 minutes.
Paola Roig, a perinatal psychologist, psychotherapist and author, will speak on 'La crianza imperfecta', discussing Donald Winnicott's concept of the 'good enough mother'. The talk will address feelings of guilt, expectations, mistakes, making amends and one's own expectations of parenthood. Her approach is that children do not need perfect caregivers, but rather sufficiently secure relationships.
María Fornet, a psychologist, writer and entrepreneur, will address the themes of motherhood, financial independence, ambition, work and freedom of choice in 'El verdadero empoderamiento es el económico'. Admission is free, but places are limited. Free childcare is also available for children aged between two and ten.
