The first edition of the gastronomy and arts and crafts fair will take place on Saturday 10 October and Sunday 11 October 2026 in the Plaza de la Libertad in Garachico. It will be open on both days from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. The event is organised by Artenerife, the municipality of Garachico and the Tenerife Island Council.
On both days, traditional craftspeople and catering businesses from the Canary Islands will be exhibiting. The programme will be complemented by two masterclasses with free admission, subject to availability. On Saturday from 11:00 to 12 noon, Nayra Pérez Reyes will be demonstrating how to make percussion instruments. On Sunday from 11:00 to 12 noon, Marcelino Reyes González will be demonstrating basket weaving using chestnut, reed and willow.
In the afternoon, there will be workshops with limited places, each running from 16:30 to 18:30 and open only to adults aged 18 and over. On Saturday, Mª Candelaria Acosta and Francisca Afonso will lead a course on paper cutting for traditional costumes from the Canary Islands. On Sunday, there will be a workshop on weaving strips of palm leaves, known as 'empleitas', with Antonio Rodríguez Ruiz.
Advance registration is required for the workshops. Registration opens on 28 September at 8:00 via the Artenerife website.
