2nd Canary Islands Juego del Palo Competition in La Laguna
In this Juego del Palo competition, participants will compete against one another as part of the competitive programme of the 2nd International 'Ciudad de La Laguna' Gathering. The Juego del Palo is a traditional Canary Islands stick-fighting sport. The competition follows on from workshops, meet-ups and school demonstrations in the morning and takes place outdoors, with free admission, in the Plaza de los Remedios in the old town of La Laguna.

The 2nd Juego del Palo Competition from the Canary Islands 'OADLL' begins on Saturday, 14 November 2026, at 12 noon in the Plaza de los Remedios, next to the cathedral in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. It forms part of the 2nd International Juego del Palo Meeting 'Ciudad de La Laguna' and constitutes its competition programme.
The competition will be preceded by a day of activities from 10:30 in the same square. These include workshops for beginners, meet-and-greets and school demonstrations. The competition will follow on directly from these morning events.
The venue is the Plaza de los Remedios, right in the heart of La Laguna's old town. The event takes place in the open air and admission is free. It is organised by the La Laguna Sports Department and the CUPC.
