30 years of chorizo-on-bread tastings at La Perdoma
La Perdoma is celebrating the 30th annual bread and chorizo tasting, a food giveaway and a regular feature of the local festivities. From 13:30, the instrumental duo Concuerdas y Madera will be performing, along with the Parrandas Mogarén and Pan con Chorizo. The event is aimed at visitors to the Fiestas de La Perdoma and families.

The tasting takes place on Calle El Rosario in La Perdoma and forms part of the 2026 Fiestas de La Perdoma. According to the programme, the distribution of bread with chorizo has become a hallmark of the festivities over the years and attracts people from the neighbourhood, the municipality and the Orotava Valley.
Music is scheduled to start at 13:30. The line-up includes Concuerdas y Madera, an instrumental duo, alongside the Parranda Mogarén and the Parranda Pan con Chorizo. The Supermercado de la Carne, the local winegrowers and La Fast are also taking part in the event.
The Fiestas de La Perdoma are held from 30 September to 11 October in honour of the patron saints, Nuestra Señora del Santísimo Rosario and San Jerónimo. The programme of events is organised by the La Perdoma Festival Committee with the support of La Orotava Town Council. The festivities have a tradition stretching back more than 70 years.
