The event is organised as a tasting day centred on adobo, that is, dishes prepared with various seasonings and marinades, cooked here by families from Tegueste using their own recipes. In the 2026 edition, seven local residents will be taking part, presenting their respective family recipes and pairing them with wines from local bodegas.
The venue is the Plaza de El Socorro in Tegueste. The event starts at 13:00. As well as the tastings, the programme includes live music. The event is designed as a convivial get-together centred on the cuisine and produce of Tegueste.
In this edition, the Canary Islands Government is also contributing to a recipe booklet via GMR Canarias. This booklet will bring together the participants' recipes from the various editions of the event, with the aim of preserving and passing on this culinary heritage.
