The programme kicks off at 11:00 with jiu-jitsu and capoeira demonstrations by The Fighters Club Canary Islands, La Laguna Urban Funcional and Camugerê. At 12:30, there will be a percussion workshop for families with Vanderson Baobá, who has worked, amongst other things, as a member of Banda Olodum. At 13:15, Batuque Canario from La Laguna's municipal music school, 'Guillermo González', will perform; the group emerged from workshops involving around seventy people of different generations.
In the afternoon, the programme continues with Dibatuka, an inclusive percussion project founded in Tenerife in 2006, which will perform at 17:00. At 17:30, Alessandro Ferrato will lead the workshop 'No tires nada, tócalo primero' on recycled instruments. From 18:30, a parade by Tambawa Percusión will set off from the Torre de La Concepción. This will be followed at 19:30 by a samba workshop with Renata Farias.
In the evening, at 20:30, Badú Obá's concert begins with the programme "Revive Os Tincoãs", featuring Hannah Bertoni, Bernardo Martins, Marta Redondo and Miguel Hernández. Badú was a member of the group from 1975 to 1983. At 22:00, Marcos Assunção and Marco Lobo will perform as Viola e Batuque. This will see the caipira viola and seven-string guitar meet the berimbau and pandeiro.
Between the programme items, Julio Du Norte will be spinning vinyl sets at 14:00, 21:30 and 23:15. Workshops, demonstrations, DJ sets and concerts are free of charge, usually subject to availability.
