Burning of the Haragán, followed by a closing verbena in El Socorro
At the end of the El Socorro festivities, the Haragán effigy is carried from Calvario through the streets of the neighbourhood to the square, where it is burnt on the adjacent site. Afterwards, the closing verbena begins in the Plaza del Socorro. The Grupo Primera Marcha and the Orquesta La Sabrosa will be performing.

The burning of the Haragán begins on Saturday, 3 October 2026, at 20:00 at the Calvario in El Socorro, Tegueste. From there, the procession winds its way through various streets in the neighbourhood to the square. The actual burning then takes place on the adjacent site.
According to the programme, the burning of the Haragán is one of the most famous sights at the end of the El Socorro festivities. Afterwards, the celebrations move to the Plaza del Socorro, where the closing verbena begins.
