Cabaret FIC XX años is celebrating two decades of the festival's history with a gala at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna. The evening will bring together some of the festival's most influential figures, alongside leading contemporary acts from the international clown and circus scene. The performances will consist of a series of individual acts, combining humour, physical comedy, improvisation, circus and direct interaction with the audience.
Taking to the stage are Peter Shub, Peter Ercolano, Wilbur, José Luis Redondo and La Churry. Peter Shub works internationally as a clown, actor, director and lecturer, and has collaborated with Cirque du Soleil, Big Apple Circus and Roncalli, amongst others. Peter Ercolano is known for his contemporary clowning and physical comedy, which engages closely with the audience. Wilbur, the stage name of Víctor Ortiz, combines acrobatics, humour and circus arts, and was formerly part of Cirque du Soleil.
José Luis Redondo has a background in clowning and the circus and is known, amongst other things, for his character Ricky, the tennis coach. La Churry is a Catalan clown and stage artist who also works on social projects such as Payasos Sin Fronteras and Pallapupas. Together, they create an evening full of rhythm, camaraderie and surprises, encapsulating the spirit of the FIC in its 20th edition.
