The Bernardo Parrilla Quintet will take to the stage in the Sala de Cámara at the Auditorio de Tenerife to kick off the Canarias Jazz Showroom. The festival format is designed as a showcase for jazz and brings together musicians from the Canary Islands and Spanish scenes in an intimate setting close to the audience. The performance is scheduled to last around 90 minutes.
The focus is on the programme "Perocheando" from 2024. In it, the five musicians blend jazz, flamenco and Latin American music. The compositions draw on various rhythms and musical languages, charting a journey through styles that have emerged from the exchange between Andalusia and the Americas. According to the announcement, each concert thrives on the interaction within the quintet and the improvised moments between the performers.
The line-up comprises Amparo Lagares (vocals), Guillermo McGill (drums), Álvaro Gandul (piano), Daniel Abad (double bass) and Bernardo Parrilla (wind instruments). The venue doors will close at the start of the event. No admission will be permitted after that point. Admission is restricted to visitors aged six and over.
