As part of the Canary Islands Fado Festival, José Félix will be presenting the concert 'Fado Nocturno' at the Teatro El Sauzal. The singer from Tenerife will be paying tribute to Portuguese fado, drawing on his in-depth study of the music of Lisbon. The programme follows traditional fado culture and its various classical styles.
José Félix will lead the evening with his voice, accompanied by Gabriel Hernández on the Spanish guitar. The line-up is deliberately simple, favouring a minimalist musical form that focuses on the expression of the lyrics and the mood of the songs. According to the announcement, the performance will also draw on experiences from performances in Lisbon's fado houses alongside local musicians.
The performance on Sunday, 11 October 2026, begins at 20:00 and lasts 75 minutes. The concert is suitable for all age groups. Standard admission costs 12 euros. Concessionary tickets for students, people under 25, those over 65 and residents of El Sauzal cost 9 euros.
Tickets are available from the theatre offices at Calle Constitución 3, Tuesday to Friday from 8:00 to 15:00, and at the box office from 90 minutes before the start of the performance. Once the performance has begun, no further admission to the auditorium will be permitted.
