The second edition of the CLE Festival's Women Composers' Meeting will take place at the Biblioteca Municipal Adrián Alemán de Armas on Calle Juan de Vera in La Laguna. The event will focus on the creative process of the participating female composers and explore their relationship with those who bring their works to the stage.
Participants include Ileana Pérez Velázquez and the composer from the Canary Islands, Laura Vega. The Cuban conductor Yudania Gómez Heredia will be attending as a guest, and the event will be moderated by festival director César Martín. In the case of Ileana Pérez Velázquez, there is also a connection between her work and the wider festival programme: her violin concerto will be performed the following day at the closing concert in a new version.
The event forms part of the Classical Laguna Experience festival, or CLE for short. The seventh edition will take place from 22 September to 4 October 2026 on La Gomera, Gran Canaria and Tenerife, and is dedicated to classical music from the Canary Islands and Latin America. Cuba is the guest country at this year's festival.
