The concert is part of the Auditorio de Tenerife's chamber music series, but this time it will take place in the Sala Sinfónica, the venue's main hall in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The Colin Currie Group is renowned for its virtuosity and specialises in the music of Steve Reich. The composer himself has described the ensemble's interpretations of his works as the best he has ever heard.
The focus of the evening is Reich's 90th birthday. To mark the occasion, the composer has written the piece 'In All Your Ways' especially for this event, which will receive its world premiere here. The programme also includes 'Music for Pieces of Wood' and 'Mallet Quartet'. After the interval, 'Drumming' will be performed.
Admission is restricted to visitors aged six and over. Once the event has started and the hall doors have closed, no further entry will be permitted. Tickets are on sale via the Auditorio de Tenerife and generally cost between 6 and 16 euros.
