Esteban Aliaga, known on stage as Estebi, leads his Perenque Band through a repertoire that brings together various chapters of Cuba's musical heritage. The evening moves between the rhythms of the great soneros and the songs of influential Cuban singer-songwriters. Alongside boleros, the set list includes well-known tracks such as 'Dos gardenias' and 'Drume negrita'. The Nueva Trova is also represented with pieces such as 'Yolanda' and 'Por quien merece amor'.
The line-up features Estebi on lead vocals and multi-percussion, Marino Pérez on piano and as musical director, Jairo Cabrera on wind instruments and backing vocals, Alex Afonso on bass, and David Platero on drums and timbales. The evening thus features an ensemble of well-known musicians from the Canary Islands.
The concert will take place at the Teatro Cine Realejos in Los Realejos and is designated as an event for adults. Admission costs five euros. Tickets are available online and at the theatre box office.
