Discover Los Abrigos: Workshops and Folklore in Granadilla
«Descubre Los Abrigos» is a cultural programme to mark Tourism Day in the Plaza de Los Abrigos in Granadilla de Abona. The programme includes a workshop on Canary Islands pintaderas, a folk dance workshop with the Raíces de Abona association, a photo booth, a display of Canary Islands dances and live music from the parranda «Medio Litro». The event is also aimed at families and combines hands-on activities with music and local traditions by the sea.

On Friday 2 October, from 17:00 to 20:00, the Plaza de Los Abrigos will be celebrating Canary Islands culture and traditions. Under the title 'Descubre Los Abrigos', the Granadilla de Abona Municipal Tourism Office is bringing together a range of free events in a single afternoon.
Planned activities include a workshop on Canarian pintaderas, a folk dance workshop with the Raíces de Abona association, a photo booth and a performance of Canarian folk dances. The 'Parranda Medio Litro' will also be performing live. A parranda is a traditional music group that performs at festivals and social gatherings in the Canary Islands.
The event forms part of Tourism Day and combines hands-on activities with music and local traditions in Los Abrigos. It will take place in the Plaza de Los Abrigos in Granadilla de Abona, in the south of Tenerife.
