The Esencia Oriental Fest, or EOF for short, was founded in 2020. The aim of the festival is to promote oriental dance in the Canary Islands and, to this end, to bring together experienced teachers and new talent in a competitive and educational environment.
The programme includes a competition with several categories, as well as a closing gala. Groups and invited artists perform at the gala. The event thus combines competition and stage performance in a single evening.
In previous editions, including those in 2023 and 2024, the EOF has grown significantly and made a name for itself in Spain. According to the event description, the festival attracts more than 300 participants across its various competition categories. In addition, there are over twelve hours of intensive workshops and masterclasses led by international figures from the world of oriental dance.
