The event begins in the Plaza de la Iglesia in La Perdoma with the recitation of the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary before the image of Our Lady of the Rosary. The procession then sets off, carrying the two patron saints of the district: Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Jerome. Prayers and a final blessing are scheduled to take place along the designated route.
On arrival at the parish church, Pirotecnia Piromart will set off a fireworks display in honour of the patron saints. The organisers ask that pets in the vicinity be protected from the noise and that people sensitive to noise be given advance warning.
The procession forms part of the Fiestas de La Perdoma 2026, which will be celebrated from 30 September to 11 October in this district of La Orotava. The festival is held in honour of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary and Saint Jerome and, according to the organisers, has a tradition stretching back more than 70 years. The programme is organised by the La Perdoma Festival Committee with the support of La Orotava Town Council.
