Festivities in honour of Saint Michael the Archangel in Geneto
The district of San Miguel de Geneto in La Laguna celebrates its patron saint's festivities in honour of San Miguel Arcángel over a period of eleven days, featuring religious, musical, sporting and children's events. The programme is aimed at families and the local community. Highlights of the festivities include the opening parade, the ceremonial address, the Romeras selection gala, the procession, fireworks and the Romería.

San Miguel de Geneto is part of La Laguna and will be holding its festivities in honour of its patron saint, San Miguel Arcángel, from 24 September to 4 October 2026. The San Miguel de Geneto 2026 Festival Committee and the Department for Folk and Traditional Festivals of the City of San Cristóbal de La Laguna are responsible for the programme.
The announced highlights include the opening parade on Thursday 24 September, the festival address and the Romeras election gala on Friday 25 September, as well as the procession and fireworks display on Saturday 3 October. This will be followed on Sunday 4 October by the Romería, a traditional Canary Islands festive procession with both religious and folk elements.
The festival will be complemented by two multi-day tournaments with no fixed times in the programme. The Envite Championship runs from 28 September to 1 October. The first Magma San Miguel de Geneto padel tournament is scheduled from 25 September to 3 October; prior registration by telephone is required for this event.
The festival committee reserves the right to make changes to the programme.
