The municipality of El Tanque, Comidas La Unión and the Government of the Canary Islands, through Dinamiza Rural, are hosting an evening entirely dedicated to puchero canario. According to the announcement, the dish is regarded as one of the great treasures of traditional cuisine and as an ancient recipe made with local produce.
The programme includes a hands-on workshop on how to prepare Puchero canario, a talk on the dish's origins, ingredients and preparation, followed by a tasting session. This will be followed by live music from Los Cantadores.
The event will take place in the Plaza del Santísimo Cristo del Calvario in El Tanque. Places are limited. Invitations are available in advance from the Concejalía de Cultura, the town hall's culture department.
