The election of the Children's Queen forms part of the official programme for the 2027 Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival. It begins on Sunday 7 February 2027 at 18:30, earlier than the Carnival's evening galas. The venue is the Recinto Ferial de Tenerife on Calle Alcalde José Emilio García Gómez in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The gala is one of the Carnival's staged events. As it takes place in a covered hall, it is not affected by the afternoon weather. Anyone wishing to experience the Carnival not only on the streets but also as a staged show will find this to be one of the regular fixtures in the programme during the weeks leading up to the main days of the street Carnival.
The 2027 Carnival's theme is 'Roma Eterna: El Imperio del Carnaval', reviving this theme 40 years on from the Roman-themed edition of 1987. The full Carnival programme will be published on the official Carnival website. The street carnival runs from 19 to 28 February in open spaces such as the Plaza de La Candelaria and the Parque García Sanabria.
