The double bill comprises the two dance pieces 'Hito' and 'Oscure Luminescenze', created by ASMED and CRIG from Sardinia. The focus is on contemporary dance, featuring two distinct artistic approaches.
'Hito' takes its starting point from the Japanese kanji 人 and uses this as the basis for a choreographic exploration of mutual support and genuine relationships. The production describes human interaction as moving together, as coordinating movements and as creating space that is both offered and accepted. In this way, the universal becomes an expression of identity through the act of supporting one another.
'Oscure Luminescenze' is conceived as a duet and explores the inner conflict between domination and freedom. The male figure appears as a manipulative, oppressive presence, whilst the woman attempts to evade an invisible yet palpable control. Gestures and movements make her still-fragile resistance visible. As the piece unfolds, the dance becomes the scene of an emotional struggle, until an untamed life force breaks through the rigidity and leads both figures towards an open, uncertain, yet powerful liberation.
