III. International Chola Throwing Championship in Las Eras
Las Eras is hosting the 3rd International Chola Throwing Championship for children and adults, in which flip-flops are thrown. 'Chola' is the word for flip-flop on the Canary Islands. Alongside this, there will be bouncy castles, craft workshops and a youth area run by the Casa de la Juventud de Fasnia. The championship forms part of the festival in honour of Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
The championship forms part of the programme of festivities in honour of Nuestra Señora del Carmen in Las Eras, which is being organised by the Comisión de Fiestas from 20 September to 3 October 2026. The competition begins on Saturday at 16:00 and is open to both children and adults.
Other family-friendly activities are planned for the same time. These include bouncy castles, craft workshops and a youth area, which will be run in collaboration with the Casa de la Juventud de Fasnia.
Earlier, at 15:30, the Asociación de Vecinos de Las Eras is organising the adult version of 'Acaba como puedas', a gymkhana for those aged 18 and over. This means that the championship will be accompanied by an afternoon of competition and a programme of leisure activities in the village.
