IV. Baile de Taifas in Tegueste, Cándido Sánchez Memorial
The 4th Baile de Taifas organised by A.C. Parranda El Abuelo is a folklore festival held in the Plaza del Socorro in El Socorro, near Tegueste. The event commemorates Cándido Sánchez and brings together several folklore groups from Tenerife and Lanzarote. To gain access to the designated area, traditional Canarian dress is compulsory, and a table must be booked in advance.

The Cándido Sánchez Memorial is organised by A.C. Parranda El Abuelo in El Socorro, near Tegueste. It begins on Friday 2 October 2026 at 21:00 in the Plaza del Socorro.
Several groups will be performing that evening: A.F. Santa Ana from El Ortigal, A.F.C. Guarache from Tacoronte, A.F.C. Los Campitos from Santa Cruz, A.F.C. Tagorosteros from Tacoronte, Parranda Lagar de Teseguite, A.F.C. Altaja from Lanzarote, and the host group, A.C. Parranda El Abuelo from Tegueste.
Important information for visitors: Entry to the designated event area is only permitted in traditional Canary Islands dress. Furthermore, table reservations must be made in advance by calling 640 732 903.
