IV. Soloists‘ Festival in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary in Machado
The 4th Ntra. Sra. del Rosario Soloists' Festival is a concert evening held as part of the Machado Fiestas, featuring 15 soloists from the Canary Islands. The festival is dedicated to Elías Rodríguez Díaz and is under the musical direction of Marco del Castillo. The programme also includes a demonstration of the 'Juego del Palo', the traditional Canarian art of stick fighting, by the Los Verga family.

The Soloists' Festival takes place in the Plaza de la Ermita in Machado, in the municipality of El Rosario. It forms part of the festivities in honour of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, which will be celebrated from 27 September to 12 October 2026. Almost all the events during the festivities will be held in the square next to the Nuestra Señora del Rosario chapel.
Fifteen soloists from the Canary Islands have been announced for the festival. Among those named are Leyla Melo, Ramón Jerez, Vanesa Hernández and Domingo Ramos 'El Chaval'. Marco del Castillo will be the musical director. The event is dedicated to Elías Rodríguez Díaz.
The concert evening will be complemented by a performance of the 'Juego del Palo' by the Los Verga family. Machado is about a 15-minute drive from the centre of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Admission is free.
