The event is taking place as part of the 2nd International 'Ciudad de La Laguna' Meeting and begins at 10:30 in the Plaza de los Remedios, next to La Laguna Cathedral. The morning programme includes open workshops for beginners, meet-and-greets and demonstrations by the participating schools.
The event is primarily intended for visitors who wish to experience Juego del Palo up close or discover it for the first time. The organisers have deliberately moved the activity into the public space, thereby making it easily accessible.
At 12 noon, the 2nd Canary Islands Juego del Palo Competition will follow at the same venue. The setting is the Plaza de los Remedios, in the heart of La Laguna's old town, which has been designated a World Heritage Site. Admission is free.
