Keynote speech at the Fiestas de La Perdoma with Magec
The ceremonial address in La Perdoma marks the start of this year's festivities in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Jerome. The evening marks the start of twelve days of celebrations in the district of La Orotava, combining the official opening with Canarian folk music.

The opening speech in the Plaza de la Iglesia marks the official start of the 2026 Fiestas de La Perdoma. The founders of Magec will deliver the speech. Afterwards, the Magec folk group will provide musical entertainment for the evening, accompanying the opening of the festivities with traditional Canary Islands music.
The Fiestas de La Perdoma run from 30 September to 11 October and are held in honour of the district's patron saints, Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Jerome. According to the organisers, this festival has a tradition stretching back more than 70 years in La Perdoma.
The programme is organised by the La Perdoma Festival Committee with the support of La Orotava Town Council. Any changes to individual programme items or cancellations will be announced by the committee via social media.
