The action takes place in a house where masters and servants encounter one another in corridors full of secrets. Behind the opera's humour lie wounded dignity, crumbling relationships and an unjust system that all the characters are familiar with and yet perpetuate. At the centre of the story are the Countess, Susanna and Figaro, each of whom deals in their own way with humiliation, a longing for freedom and anger.

Pablo González is the musical director, and Marta Pazos is the director. The cast includes Leonor Bonilla as Susanna, Jan Antem as Figaro, José Antonio López as Count Almaviva, Lianna Haroutounian as Countess Almaviva and Rafael Quirant as Cherubino. Other roles are sung by Léontine Maridat-Zimmerlin, Wojtek Gierlach, David Barrera, Ruth González, Cristian Díaz, Alberto Ballesta and Arantxa Cooper.

The Sinfónica de Tenerife and the Coro Titular Ópera de Tenerife-Intermezzo will perform, with the Centro Internacional de Danza Tenerife also taking part. The set design is by Max Glaenzel, the lighting design by Nuno Meira, and the costumes by Agustín Petronio. Andreas Heise is responsible for the choreography, Rober Gómez is overseeing the revival, and Miguel Ángel Arqued is the choir director. The production was created in collaboration with the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

Four performances are scheduled for 11, 13, 15 and 17 October at the Auditorio de Tenerife. The performance on 11 October begins at 18:00; the other performances all begin at 19:00. Once the theatre doors have closed, no further admission will be permitted.
