The festivities will take place from 2 to 7 October in La Montañeta, in the municipality of Garachico. To kick things off, 'Tapas y Vinos San Francisco 2026' featuring Bodegas Canales del Palmar and Cambium is on the programme on Friday from 19:00, followed at 21:00 by a performance by the pop-rock band Risco in the Plaza de San Francisco.
On Saturday, the festivities begin at 11:00 with nature-themed activities and bouncy castles in the Plaza de San Francisco. From 16:00, the traditional Envite and domino tournaments will take place. At 18:00, the Rosary will be recited at the Ermita de San Francisco. At 19:00, a panel discussion will mark the 70th anniversary of the Ermita's construction. Participants include Ana Oramas, Isidoro Sánchez García, Manuel Nogales, Lorenzo Dorta, José Heriberto González Rodríguez, Magdalena González Gorrín and Guillermina de León González. Juan Manuel Castañeda will moderate the discussion on the history of the Ermita up to the present day. From 22:00, the Los Ideales orchestra will play at the Verbena.
On Sunday at 11.00, there will be a Mass in honour of San Francisco and the Virgen del Rosario, celebrated by Marcos Antonio García Luis-Moleiro and accompanied by the Asociación Cultural Ben-Gara. Afterwards, the procession will wind its way through the streets along the usual route, accompanied by the Agrupación Musical de Garachico. At 15:00, there will be a toast for all those present with music by the group Medio Litro, followed by a performance by Grupo Luna from 16:00.
The festivities will conclude on Wednesday at 17:00 with another Mass followed by a procession carrying the images of Saint Francis and the Virgin of the Rosary around the square. Afterwards, the flag will be handed over to the new festival committee.
