The El Naciente Folklore Festival, featuring three groups from the Canary Islands, is taking place in the Plaza del Socorro in El Socorro, near Tegueste. Performing on stage will be A.C. Ilusión Canaria, A.C. Parranda el Abuelo and the host group, A.F. El Naciente. The festival is also suitable for families and marks the start of the final stage of the festival programme, which runs until 4 October.

The El Naciente Folklore Festival begins on Thursday, 1 October 2026, at 20:30 in the Plaza del Socorro in El Socorro, near Tegueste. The programme features performances by the Agrupación Cultural Ilusión Canaria, the Agrupación Cultural Parranda el Abuelo and the Agrupación Folclórica El Naciente, after which the festival is named.
The evening is being organised by Juan Gutiérrez, director of A.F. El Naciente, together with Eladia López, the councillor responsible for festivals. Rommel Hernández will be guiding the audience through the programme and will also be hosting the opening ceremony and the Gran Dama Gala.
The event marks the start of the final stage of the festival calendar, which ends on Sunday 4 October. It will take place in the Plaza del Socorro in the El Socorro district of Tegueste.
