The recital in the Sala de Cámara at the Auditorio de Tenerife forms part of the piano concert series within the Ciclo de Cámara. Yulianna Avdeeva will devote the entire evening to Johann Sebastian Bach's “Well-Tempered Clavier”, Book I, performing the 24 preludes and fugues from BWV 846 to BWV 869.
The first half of the programme features the pieces from C major, BWV 846, to F minor, BWV 857. After an interval, the second half follows with the preludes and fugues from F-sharp major, BWV 858, to B minor, BWV 869. This means that all the keys of the first volume will be performed in their entirety.
Avdeeva won First Prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in 2010 and performs regularly at venues such as the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Rudolfinum in Prague, the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, the Vienna Konzerthaus and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. Her recent recital venues also include the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the festivals in Salzburg and Gstaad.
Her schedule for the 2025-2026 season includes recitals in Vienna, Cologne, Berlin, Milan and Belgium, as well as orchestral performances featuring works by Beethoven, Brahms, Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, Chopin and Bartók. She will be performing an all-Bach programme in Tenerife.
