Plenilunio 2026 in Santa Cruz, featuring cultural events and a drone light show

Plenilunio is a three-day cultural programme in Santa Cruz de Tenerife that brings museums, streets and squares to life with concerts, parades, markets, children's activities, urban sports and a drone show. The 2026 edition has the theme 'The Four Elements' and is aimed at a wide audience. The programme also includes museum visits, open days at special venues and family activities.

On Friday, 2 October, the programme begins at 18:00 with 'Misterio en el Templo' at the Templo Masónico. At 20:00, a DJ set will take place on Avenida Marítima in front of the Island Council building, with a view of the drone show. The drone light show "Los 4 Elementos", featuring 500 drones, is scheduled for 20:30 and 22:00 in the pedestrian area on Avenida Marítima next to the La Gesta playground.

On Saturday 3 October, the day's programme begins at 10:00 with a special opening of the Museo de Bellas Artes. At the MUNA, there will be family guided tours of 'Concomitancias' at 10:30 and 11:30, as well as a family piñata-making workshop at 11:30. From 11:00, a wide range of activities will be spread across the city centre, including a large play area called 'Elemento Fuego' on the Alameda del Duque de Santa Elena, children's activities in Parque Bulevar, workshops on the Rambla de Santa Cruz, batucada performances on Calle de La Rosa, and a traditional Canary Islands market in the Plaza de la Candelaria and the Plaza de España.

At the Parque García Sanabria, Le Good Market, children's workshops and hands-on activities will be running simultaneously, such as 'Bohomera' for painting wooden fruit and vegetables, a gofio workshop entitled 'Tenerife, grano a grano', a hydroponics workshop and large wooden games. There will also be a craft market in the Plaza del Cabildo and an interactive kite exhibition. From 12 noon, the 'Safari' street parade will wind its way down Calle del Castillo.

Several special venues are also taking part: the Capitanía General will open the Palacio de Capitanía and the Throne Room from 11:00, and at 12:30 the Canary Islands Command Band will perform there. At the Museo Histórico Militar de Canarias in the Fuerte de Almeyda, the programme includes a flag-raising ceremony from 11:00, a LEGO workshop at 11:30, battle re-enactments at 12:30 and 13:30, and classical fencing at 13:00. There will be music in various locations across the city, including performances by Luis Ramírez Cuba in Parque García Sanabria, Naudo Rodrigues on Avenida de Anaga, Dorina Violinista in La Noria and on Calle de La Rosa, the 101 Brass Band on Calle de La Rosa and in Plaza de San Francisco, as well as Víctor Cáceres Sax and Celso Sax at various locations.
