The Sigma Project concert forms part of the seventh edition of the Classical Laguna Experience festival, or CLE for short. The festival runs from 22 September to 4 October 2026 on La Gomera, Gran Canaria and Tenerife, and is dedicated to classical music from the Canary Islands and Latin America. This year's guest country is Cuba.
In the former Santo Domingo monastery in the old town of La Laguna, the saxophone quartet will perform a programme of contemporary music for saxophone. The programme includes '4 Artificios' by the Colombian composer Juan Antonio Cuéllar, 'El Silencio al Rojo rueda como un Sol' by the Colombian composer Carolina Noguera, and 'Cantos bajo relieve' by the composer from the Canary Islands, Rubens Askenar. Further works will also be performed.
The evening thus brings together repertoire from the Canary Islands and Latin America in the field of contemporary music for the saxophone. The venue is the Exconvento de Santo Domingo in La Laguna.
