The eighth edition of Starmus, themed 'In Search of the Truth', will bring together guests from the worlds of science, space exploration and culture in Tenerife and La Palma from 17 to 22 October 2026. The festival was co-founded by astrophysicist Garik Israelian and musician Brian May. The programme features lectures by Nobel laureates, astronauts and scientists, as well as panel discussions, film screenings and concerts.
An opening gala is scheduled for 17 October to kick off the event. The Stephen Hawking Medal and the new Jane Goodall Medal will be awarded there, accompanied by musical performances featuring an orchestra. The lectures are scheduled to take place at the Pirámide de Arona in the south of Tenerife. La Palma will host the final day and the closing concert.
Starmus is aimed at an audience that wishes to experience scientific topics in conjunction with music and artistic formats. Admission costs 150 euros. Tickets are available via the official festival website.
