Con su Permiso: Street theatre with Tuga in La Laguna
This street theatre performance featuring the mime artist Tuga is part of the Festival Internacional Clownbaret 2026 and transforms the traffic into an improvised choreography. Tuga climbs onto a taxi, challenges a lorry, surfs across the tarmac and steers the action with humour. The performance lasts 50 minutes and is suitable for all ages. Anyone who doesn't want to be part of the performance can simply carry on walking.

Tuga comes from Valparaíso and is known as a mime artist and street performer for his interventions in everyday life. In "Con su Permiso", the street itself becomes the stage: vehicles, movements and encounters flow into a spontaneously emerging choreography. To achieve this, Tuga draws on his sense of timing, improvisation and physical humour, which he measures using his own "laughometer".
The piece will be performed as part of the Festival Internacional Clownbaret 2026 on Calle Nava y Grimón, near the Plaza del Cristo in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. It begins on Saturday, 10 October 2026, at 17:00. The performance lasts 50 minutes.
What makes this format special is the open nature of street theatre: the action unfolds right in the middle of a public space, without anyone having to take part. This approach is also reflected in the title, which translates as 'With Your Permission'. The performance is suitable for all age groups.
