The event is intended as a meeting place for the animation scene in the Canary Islands and arose from the need to respond to the current situation facing the sector on the islands. At the Convento Santo Domingo in La Laguna, there will be project presentations, specialist forums and debates addressing key issues facing the industry.
Tajea aims to highlight perspectives beyond those of the major studios and to create a safe space for exchange and networking. The focus is on practical approaches for day-to-day professional life and on strategic learning. The forum is therefore aimed at both students and professionals from the Canary Islands, mainland Spain and other parts of Europe.
Topics include the implications of the Canary Islands' insularity for the industry, the true value of a competitive Canarian brand, the influence of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the question of how the sector can move away from a purely service-based model to tell its own stories.
