The 15th edition of the La Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB® will take place from 8 to 10 April 2027. A new addition is a 68-kilometre route starting at the Plaza del Adelantado in La Esperanza, in the municipality of El Rosario. The start of this route is scheduled for 9 April at 8:00.

The 68k route, with 3,600 metres of elevation gain, follows the GR-131 long-distance footpath and passes through Las Raíces, Las Lagunetas and the El Gaitero area, amongst others. It then continues over the Lomo de La Resbala and through the pine forest of La Orotava before reaching the finish in Puerto de la Cruz. The top three finishers in this distance will receive a direct entry to the Hoka UTMB® Mont-Blanc 2027 in Chamonix.

As well as the new 68k, the 2027 edition brings further changes. The previous 73k will be extended to 82 kilometres. The Vertical Night Challenge will also feature a new route, increasing in length to 6.5 kilometres. It runs from Playa del Socorro in Los Realejos to the Mirador de la Corona.

The event is organised by the Tenerife Island Council through the public enterprise Ideco. El Rosario and the municipalities of Tacoronte, El Sauzal, La Matanza, La Victoria, Santa Úrsula, La Orotava, Los Realejos and Puerto de la Cruz are collaborating on the new 68k race. Registration is set to open in June, initially with a 48-hour priority period for athletes who were unable to take part this year due to the cancellation, followed by runners with a valid UTMB® index, and then all other participants.
