The comedy «Hasta que el divorcio nos separe» is set in a clinic offering a new form of couples' therapy and tells the story of a married couple who, after more than ten years together, want to split up. The play stars Elizabeth Morales and Leonardo Abreu, and is directed by Aldo Tejera. It is being performed at L'Incanto; tickets cost ten euros and can be booked online.
At the heart of the production is a couple who have been together for more than ten years and are planning to split up. Fer and Paula meet in Dr Sanz's surgery, both convinced that the other is being unfaithful. During the therapy sessions, they try by every means possible to achieve their real aim: to secure their joint assets for themselves.
Leonardo Abreu not only plays the role of Fer, but also wrote the script. According to the play's description, he was looking for a theme that would allow for comic interplay whilst also moving the audience. The result is a story about relationships in which audience members can recognise themselves in individual scenes and arguments.
Elizabeth Morales takes on the role of Paula, with Aldo Tejera directing. The production will run on several Fridays in October at L'Incanto in Santa Cruz. Admission costs ten euros; tickets can be booked online.
