Workshop on traditional bookbinding in La Esperanza
In this free workshop at the Biblioteca de La Esperanza, participants will learn basic techniques of traditional bookbinding and create their own booklet. The practical work ranges from preparing the paper to applying glue and assembling the book. The workshop is suitable for families; prior registration is required as places are limited.
The workshop is being organised by the Culture Department of El Rosario Town Council at the Biblioteca de La Esperanza. Following the positive response to the first session, the same course is being offered again and is aimed at anyone who would like to try their hand at traditional bookbinding.
The programme covers the basic techniques of hand bookbinding. Participants will create their own booklet and go through each stage of the process, from preparing the paper and gluing the pages to the final assembly. The course is structured as a practical introduction.
The event will take place on Friday 2 October, from 17:00 to 19:30. Participation is free of charge. Advance registration is required, as there are only a limited number of places available. For enquiries, please contact the Culture Department at [email protected].
